NFL Predictions Week 8: Tom Brady and More QBs Sure to Deliver Late-Game Heroics
This is a quarterback-driven league. It really has been for a long time, but that's abundantly clear now. Quarterbacks like Tony Romo and Philip Rivers are often heavily criticized, and they are easily two of the game's 10 best quarterbacks.
But the influence of players like Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and a healthy Peyton Manning has really made the QB position special.
In a close game, you don't want to be opposing any of those guys. This week, there are a few games that will be close where the quarterback will shine. Aaron Rodgers is on a bye, Drew Brees' team will win easily, but let's start with the other healthy living legend.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Tom Brady
Quarterback play will decide this one. Frankly, Brady has three rings, Ben Roethlisberger has two. I expect a relatively low-scoring game here, especially given what these offenses are capable of.
But when all is said and done, Brady will be the better quarterback, at least on Sunday. I don't know that I am expecting a late-game comeback, but he will lead his team to the win at the end of the game. We'll be seeing these two teams again in the playoffs.
Cam Newton
This is one of the more interesting matchups of the week for me, even though neither team is going anywhere. Cam Newton is a virtual Rookie of the Year lock, while Christian Ponder's NFL career is off to a rather impressive start.
In the end, I like Newton to come through and win this game. This will be a good one between two bad teams, but also a nice preview of the QB position in the NFL.
I am expecting another really good game between the Eagles and Cowboys. This is a great rivalry, and both teams are in relatively desperate positions.
In the end, I am going to go with the team that has the home-field advantage, and Michael Vick. I do expect DeMarcus Ware and Co. to give Vick a hard time, but he will come through when it counts.
