Tebowing: Is Broncos LB D.J. Williams Jealous of Tim Tebow's New Fad?

Tim Tebow has inadvertently started the newest and dumbest of the dumb fads—"Tebowing."

By now you've probably heard of planking, owling and all the other ridiculous fads that are sweeping the nation, but Tebowing is arguably the dumbest of them all.

It essentially came from those moments of a game when Tebow kneels down on the field, puts his hands over his eyes and prays.

How this became the next big thing, I don't know, but I cannot emphasize how stupid it is.

Nonetheless, it has become a phenomenon.

I mean, I didn't think there could be anything cooler than planking, which is simply laying down stiff like a board in a "unique" spot, but Tebowing obviously takes the cake.

To be honest, there's only one planking I've seen that could be worth mentioning, and that's from Washington Wizards player JaVale McGee planking in an All-Star game in the Philippines:

It was actually cool.

What could be cooler than kneeling down somewhere to fake pray and have one of your friends take a picture of it, though?

Simply put, nothing.

Sarcasm aside, apparently I'm not the only person who feels this way.

Tebow's own teammate, linebacker D.J. Williams, got pretty harsh with a Denver fan who posted a Twitpic of herself Tebowing:

Saying that you lose cool points is a pretty big deal nowadays, and coming from an NFL player, that's really got to sting.

Many have speculated that Williams is just jealous of Tebow. Tebow gets all the hype, all the glory and all the credit, and he even has a dumb fad named after him.

Williams is probably thinking, "Why doesn't anybody do the Williams?".

To be rather blunt, I highly doubt this is the case.

Perhaps Williams just has a little bit more common sense than the rest of the Tebow slappy's kneeling all over the world and taking pictures.

So no, I don't think D.J. Williams is jealous. I think he realizes that his team has a far way to go in order to be legitimate, and Tebowing isn't going to help anything.
