Tebowing: Tim Tebow Love Affair Becomes Outrageous

I have never seen a player in any sport get so much love from fans—for doing so little at the highest level—than Tim Tebow of the Denver Broncos.

First there were "Tebow" chants, then it was Tebow billboards and finally, a name for praying on one knee? "Tebowing" is now sweeping the nation, gaining popularity each day.

Tebow is 2-2 as a starting quarterback in the NFL. He was an onside kick away from throwing for slightly over 100 yards but is everyone’s favorite football player.

People love him, as evidenced by through-the-roof jersey sales for someone who has little NFL experience.

Trust me, I'm not one of those guy who hates Tebow. I'd like to see him succeed and have continually backed him up every time in debate over his potential as a NFL quarterback.

But this? This is downright ridiculous.

It’s absurd.

"Planking" was the pose that swept the nation earlier in the year, but this one may have it beat by the end of 2011, especially if Tebow continues to win games.

He won one game this season and people all over the world are doing his now famous pose. It’s almost laughable.

For wrestling fans, he is like the John Cena of football. For every hater there is a lover. People love the guy and I can’t deny the reasons for that. He is the epitome of hard work, dedication and will to succeed when people say he can’t. He is the definition of what dad's would want out of their children.

I’m not sure how you root against this guy, but this trend that he is setting because he prayed, just like he has always done, is literally insane. There is no better way to describe it.
