Looks Like I Wasn't Too Far Off: A Recap of the Fight for the Troops

So most people know I do a "What To Expect" series. Recently, I wrote one about UFC's Fight For The Troops card. A lot of people (one in particular) disagreed with me entirely. But after watching the show, and then going back and looking at my article, I wasn't too far off. So here is a recap:

Main Event: Josh Koscheck vs. Yoshiyuki Yoshida

Like I predicted, Josh Koscheck WALKED through him. Many disagreed, but it happened just as I expected. Koscheck is now a knockout of the year candidate!

Mike Swick vs. Jonathan Goulet

I was really wrong about his one, but I'll take that loss like man. I admit Swick isn't my favorite fighter, but my hat is off to him tonight. He scored a 33-second knockout.

Steve Cantwell vs. Razak Al-Hassan

Cantwell won in impressive fashion, again like I predicted. He put a great looking arm bar on Hassan, and broke his elbow (from what it looked like). Congrats to Steve Cantwell, you proved the doubters wrong!

Tim Credeur vs. Nate Loughran

Credeur dominated the fight through two rounds, very impressive! He did technically win by knockout, so again i was correct. Give Timmy a pat on the back, he looked good in the fight.

Jim Miller vs. Matt Wiman

Miller DOMINATED everyone's favorite fighter Matt Wiman. I've watched Jim Miller for most of his career, and tried to tell everyone that he was a stud. He won by unanimous decision and is supposedly fighting a top 10 lightweight next.

Luigi's fight was pretty boring, but not too bad, he went on to win by unanimous decision.

Steve Bruno looked impressive, he scored a second round victory. Winning by rear naked choke against Johnny Rees.

Ben Saunders looked very good in his first round TKO of Brandon Wolff.

Dale Hartt won by doctor's stoppage, after Corey Hill broke his leg. Maybe he should bulk up and move up to welterweight, or even middleweight.

Justin McCully started things off with a unanimous decision over Eddie Sanchez. That fight was pretty entertaining.

All in all, that card was pretty good and left me satisfied. JUST LIKE I PREDICTED!
