Joe Flacco and John Harbaugh's Roughhousing Shows Ravens' Unity Beyond Field

The bond between a coach and a player can be one of the strongest in the world, and it looks like the Baltimore Ravens head coach Jim Harbaugh and quarterback Joe Flacco are really close.

Ravens public relations director Kevin Byrne was writing on the team's blog that the coach and quarterback were wrestling around this week and Harbaugh came out of it with a cut under his eye.

While this blog post had many fans and experts wondering if there was more to the story, especially coming from a PR guy, the likelihood of anything serious going down is very low.

This is more a testament on how close these two really are rather than how little they can control their emotions.

Harbaugh has taken Flacco under his wing, and the duo of the young coach and young quarterback have stood side by side going into battle since they came to the Baltimore Ravens in 2008.

If the two men feel comfortable enough to horse around, then that’s their choice. Other teammates see their coach and quarterback having fun and they feel like they are part of a team that is predicated on winning games, but having fun doing it.

This bond is the reason the Ravens have maintained their even keel through the good times and the bad, and when things get rough, everyone on that Ravens team knows that every other man in that locker room has their backs.

As long as the Ravens keep winning games, this won’t be an issue.
