Detroit Lions vs. Denver Broncos: Live Score, Highlights and Analysis

James Van EttenOct 30, 2011

The Lions have traveled west to Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver, where the Broncos will host them in an inter-conference showdown.

The Lions limp into today’s contest with a 5-2 record, but all is not well in the Motor City. The Lions are fresh off a second straight home loss and have lost some of the swagger they displayed in their Monday Night destruction of their rival Chicago Bears.

Starting quarterback Matthew Stafford has been questionable all week with an injury to his right ankle, but after taking a majority of the reps on Friday, appears ready for action.

The Broncos come in flying high after their miracle in Miami, led by their young quarterback Tim Tebow. With two fourth quarter touchdowns, the Broncos came back from a 15-point deficit to down the Dolphins and give their second-year signal caller a homecoming he will not soon forget.

The Broncos also have injuries on their side of the ball with starting RB Willis McGahee out today and Knowshon Moreno stepping back into the starting lineup with something to prove. Pro-Bowler Elvis Dumervil is still nursing an ankle but has been upgraded from doubtful to questionable.

Today’s outcome will probably come down to the performance of both young, former-SEC quarterbacks. Will Matthew Stafford find time to get the ball downfield to the man known as Megatron? Or will Tim Tebow once again prove his fiery leadership is enough to lead his team to victory?

Updated score:  Final Score is Lions 45  Broncos 10.
