EPL Transfer Rumours: 5 Players Who Could Come to England in January

Jake LittleOct 28, 2011

Eden Hazard is just one of the high-profile names that may be coming to the Premier League once the January transfer window opens.

There are going to be a lot of teams looking to add to their squad. Some notable clubs would be Arsenal, Everton, Tottenham and of course Manchester City.

We've seen it recently with players like Sergio Aguero, Luis Suarez and Juan Mata. Players can help establish themselves as elite talents by testing their talents in the Premier League.

The following is a compilation of players that have been rumoured to be eyeing a move to England's top flight in January.

Yann M'Vila

Yann M'Villa has been a standout player for Rennes in Ligue 1.

The defensive midfielder has established himself as one of the best in his position. It is only a matter of time before he makes a move to a high-profile club.

Italian giants AC Milan are also linked with the midfielder, but Arsene Wenger would be considered a favorite to land the Frenchman.

Wenger has brought in a wealth of French talent to the Emirates, including players like Bacary Sagna, Samir Nasri, Thierry Henry and many more.

He has demonstrated an understanding of French football and M'Vila will certainly take naught of this in January.

According to Sportsvibe, M'Vila has a £25 million price tag. He would be an expensive signing, but with price comes quality.

Gonzalo Higuain

Gonzalo Higuain is a top-class striker. The Argentinian has scored nine goals in nine games in La Liga this season for Real Madrid.

Higuain is one goal away from equalling his total goal return from last season.

According to Crunch Sports, Higuain may be on the move to Manchester United or Liverpool.

Both teams are reportedly monitoring the talisman, and Real Madrid will be open to a transfer as long as they are successful in their pursuit of the Brazilian starlet Neymar.

Liverpool would certainly benefit from this more than United, seeing as United already have the likes of Javier Hernandez, Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck and Dimitar Berbatov.

Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard may be making a move to London once the January transfer window opens, but the Belgian star may not be going where you expect.

Hazard, who was continuously linked with Arsenal during the summer, is now reportedly heading to Chelsea.

According to ESPN Soccernet, Hazard is being monitored closest by the Blues.

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas is rumoured to be considering the playmaker because of veterans, like Drogba, that will be wrapping up their careers soon.

Wesley Sneijder

Wesley Sneijder may be making a move to the Premier League after all.

Manchester United showed heavy interest in the Inter Milan star, and the Dutch attacker was keen on a move to Old Trafford.

But the end of the transfer window came and Sneijder was still in Milan. There may still be hope for any English clubs interested though.

According to ESPNSTAR, the Dutch midfielder has been the target of Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United.

It is rumoured that City's 6-1 thrashing of United last weekend reignited Sir Alex Ferguson's interest in the Dutch star.

Hulk

FC Porto striker Hulk has admitted that he would have to consider offers from Chelsea and Arsenal if they were given.

According to Inside Futbol, the Brazilian international has been a Chelsea target ever since Andre Villas-Boas took over as manager.

The talisman would do much more for Arsenal than Chelsea, as Arsenal currently only have one striking option.

Robin van Persie has been outstanding for Arsenal, but no one else has stepped up and gotten the goals for Arsenal.

Signing Hulk would add balance to the squad. Chelsea already have Fernando Torres, Daniel Sturridge and Juan Mata banging in the goals.
