Center

Patrik Berglund, St. Louis

Berglund has six points (three goals, three assists) in his last three games (2.0 points per game).  He tallied a goal and assist in each of those games.  He had 12 points (six goals, six assists) in his first 18 games (0.67 ppg). In the Sporting News salary cap league, he’s a bargain at $0.55 million. 

Winger

Andrew Ladd, Chicago

Ladd has seven points (two goals, five assists) in his last three games (2.33).  He had just eight points (three goals, five assists) in his first 22 games (0.36).  He’s also a bargain at $0.50 million.

Defenseman

Milan Jurcina, Washington

Jurcina has three points (one goal, two assists) in his last three games.  He had just thee points (one goal, two assist) in his first 25 games (0.12).  He’s never been much of a scorer at this point, so just put him on your radar.  His cap number is $0.50 million.

Goalie

Manny Fernandez, Boston

Tim Thomas is having a great year, but Manny seems to have regained his form, as evidenced by the shutout he recorded last week.  He hasn’t started many games, but he has taken advantage of his opportunities.  On the year he’s 8-1-1, with a 2.10 GAA and a 92.6 save percentage.  He’s a nice value at $2.02 million.
