Week 8 Start Em Sit Em: Fred Jackson and Stud RBs Who Will Obliterate Defenses

Matt FaulconerOct 28, 2011

Fred Jackson has been dynamite this season. Furthermore, the Buffalo Bills' running back is not going to slow down this week against a Washington Redskins defense that has struggled mightily in the past couple weeks.

Jackson is averaging just over 100 yards per game this season, including a 121-yard performance against the New York Giants in his last outing.

The Redskins have given up more than 175 rushing yards in each of their last two outings since the bye week. They don't look much like the Redskins team we saw in the first four games of the season, which doesn't bode well for them in Toronto this weekend.

Jackson will deliver big for the Bills in this game. Buffalo is 4-2 on the season, and they know they need to win games against inferior opponents. Two weekends ago, this game was shaping up to be a thriller between two surprise teams.

But with the Redskins missing five offensive starters, this is going to be a very long day for the Burgundy and Gold.

Look for Jackson to get plenty of carries as the Bills run away with a big victory.

Ray Rice (Baltimore)

Ray Rice is going to torch the Arizona Cardinals this week.

Playing Baltimore the week after they lost a devastating game to the Jacksonville Jaguars doesn't bode well for the Cardinals.

Arizona has to head east for a 1 p.m. EDT game against the Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium, in what is likely to be a blowout victory for Baltimore.

Through six games, Rice has over 750 yards of total offense and four touchdowns. He is vital to the Ravens offense both on the ground and through the air. For the season, Rice is averaging nearly 4.5 yards per carry and 13 yards per catch.

He is a home run threat every time he touches the ball, so expect big things out of him this week.

The Cards are giving up just under 400 yards of total offense per game this season, so expect Rice to be a part of at least 150 yards and a long touchdown.

Rice might single-handedly carry you to victory this week.

Adrian Peterson (Minnesota Vikings)

Adrian Peterson is the man.

Through seven games, Peterson has rushed for 712 yards this season. He has been the backbone of the Vikings' offense, and he is lucky enough to face the horrendous Carolina Panthers run defense this week.

Carolina struggled to slow Tim Hightower last week before he left the game with a torn ACL. Look for Peterson to really capitalize this week as the Vikes take the pressure off rookie quarterback Christian Ponder.

The Panthers are giving up over 130 yards rushing per game, and have yet to face a running back as talented as AP.

This is going to be a long week for the Panthers defensive line, who will be obliterated by the Vikings offensive line.

Peterson will explode this week, and you will be very happy you drafted him.
