Week 8 Fantasy Football Rankings: Delone Carter and Best Flex Options
The flex spot is always a tough position to plan out. It generally involves any offensive player other than the quarterback.
Now, the trick there is that some teams have much more depth at some positions than others. Some owners can put a truly reliable and solid player in the flex slot, while others are left scrambling to fill their normal positions.
Still, since these guys are all currently starting in fewer than 30 percent of ESPN leagues, I am assuming that they have been incorrectly glazed over.

Colts Release Kenny Moore

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Whether its in the flex spot or their natural positions, try to find a way to get these guys into your lineup.
Delone Carter
He's still a relatively unknown player, so there is a decent chance that he's available. There's also a decent chance that you have running backs to put in your running back slot, but Carter is a great flex play.
Joseph Addai is banged up and Curtis Painter is clearly not Peyton Manning. If the Colts have any chance of being competitive in this one, they need to run the ball well.
I like Carter to get a fair amount of carries and yards. He hit nearly 90 yards last week. Don't be surprised to see him come close to that.
Bernard Scott
The Seahawks have been relatively stingy against the run this season. But in this case, Scott is a good play.
With Cedric Benson out on suspension, the overwhelming majority of carries will go to Scott.
The only fear with Scott as a flex player is that he might be in your lineup as the starting running back. If that's not the case, move him to the flex spot.
Branch is very clearly the Patriots No. 2 receiver, although with their wealth of tight ends, he can still get put on the back burner.
Still, I see a reliable game from Branch. When an elite quarterback shows that he trusts you, it's a good place to be.
Wes Welker is clearly New England's No. 1 man, but don't be surprised to see Branch get some favorable matchups against Pittsburgh.
