UFC 137: Roy Nelson and the Top 10 Beards in the UFC Today

Beards signify manliness, and the 10 men on this list have some of the best beards in UFC history, but definitely the top beards in the UFC today.

Roy Nelson has been seen out-and-about lately, sporting a smaller belly and bigger beard, and you'll be sure to see that beard of epic-ness on Saturday night.

So, in no particular order, let's take a look at Roy Nelson and nine more of the best beards in the UFC today.

Roy Nelson

This photo was taken on Thursday, and shows Nelson rocking the long beard and the even longer hair.

I guess he's hoping that beard will make his chin even tougher when he goes up against Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic on Saturday night.

I still think this picture is really funny. He suited up.

Court McGee

Court McGee was the Season 11 winner of The Ultimate Fighter and is rocking one of the coolest beards around.

McGee is 14-1 in his MMA career and has never been knocked out.

I'm going to bet it's because nobody is able to hit him on the chin.

Johny Hendricks

Johny Hendricks is a welterweight fighter and holds a record of 11-1, with his only loss coming to Rick Story.

Hendricks is viewed by many as a top 20 welterweight, but he gets to take on the consensus No. 2 when he faces Jon Fitch at UFC 141.

Jon Fitch

Hey, we just talked about him!

Jon Fitch is the consensus No. 2 welterweight, and arguably a top 10 pound-for-pound fighter in MMA.

Fitch is 23-3-1 [1 NC], and his only loss in the UFC is to the champ, Georges St-Pierre.

He is more than deserving of a second title shot, and with a win or two, Dana can't deny him any longer.

Jim Miller

Jim Miller is one of the top lightweights in the UFC, and with one of the reddest beards in the UFC.

Miller is 20-3 in his career and his only losses have come to three of the top four lightweights in the UFC: Frankie Edgar, Gray Maynard and Ben Henderson.

Charlie Brenneman

Charlie "The Spaniard" Brenneman. He was last seen in action at UFC Live 6, where he lost via head kick knockout to Anthony Johnson.

Before that, he stepped in on very short notice and defeated Rick Story at UFC Live 5 on Versus.

In the fight against Story, thickly bearded.

In the fight against Rumble, slightly less.

Coincidence? I think not.

Carlos Condit

Carlos Condit is another welterweight in the UFC with an awesome beard.

Condit is currently riding the pine after GSP suffered an injury, and was forced to pull out of his UFC 137 title defense.

GSP, no beard: Condit, beard.

I wonder why GSP got injured and Condit didn't...

Alessio Sakara

Alessio Sakara disproves my thought in the last slide that injuries are prevented by having beards, as he recently tore his ACL.

But nevertheless, Sakara is one of the top beards in the UFC, and has been around for quite a while. Since 2005 to be exact.

Let's hope to see his beard, and him, back in the cage soon.

Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar is the former UFC heavyweight champion, and has a mountain man beard.

Unfortunately, at UFC 121, the beard wasn't enough to save Lesnar's chin, as he suffered a first-round TKO loss to Cain Velasquez.

Lesnar will return to action at UFC 141 against Alistair Overeem, and it will be interesting to see if and what facial hair he sports into the cage.

Brian Oswald

He may not be in the UFC, but he definitely deserves a mention.

Brian Oswald, also known as Wolverine, is the MMA Editor here at Bleacher Report, and has a beard that could give some of these UFC guys a run for their money.
