LeBron James' Comments about Steve Nash Nothing but a Fantasy
LeBron James is greedy.
He already has two All-Stars on his side, but the Miami Heat forward isn’t satisfied. Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh aren’t good enough.
Now he wants Steve Nash:
Nothing like using Twitter as a recruiting tool. This isn’t the first person to suggest the move due to the glaring hole at point guard, but will it ever happen?
The Heat haven’t had a decent point guard since the days of Tim Hardaway, and it came back to bite them a critical moments during the NBA Finals.
The Big Three need an incredibly intelligent and cerebral veteran that can dribble circles around defenders, run an offense without having to look of at the coach every five seconds and isn’t concerned with scoring a ton of points.
Problem is, the Heat would have to make a trade with the Suns. A quick scan of their roster outside of LeBron, Wade and Bosh, and you may think it’s a NBDL team.
The lack of depth is appalling and having to get even thinner by bringing in a 37-year-old would give the Heat a bunch of rookies and has-beens to eat up minutes.
The Suns franchise, the city that loves Nash more than any other, may not be too thrilled with the idea either.
But could you only imagine if they pulled off a deal? The offense would be unstoppable, and the fast break would provide fans with their own Sportscenter Top 10 every game. Nobody is better at making sure the ball is placed in the exact spot for his teammate to score than Nash.
The excitement level in Miami would reach a whole new level.
Sure his defense isn’t what it used to be, he is about two steps slower and has the lateral quickness of a zombie. Yet with the help defense the Heat institute and with assistance coming from Bosh and LeBron on the weak side, Nash wouldn't be much of a liability on that end of the floor.
So dream on LeBron, imagine how great life would be with Nash. Keep thinking about this fantasy, because it’s never going to turn into a reality.
