Kyle Turley Goes from Shock NFL Jock to Hard Rock
Kyle Turley could have easily decided to take it easy in retirement. Instead, he is hitting life harder than he ever did as an NFL offensive lineman.
We have seen it all before. An athlete hangs up the cleats forever only to take up golf and lead the life of leisure. I can hardly blame them.
After years of two-a-days and clearing monsters out of the pocket, you would think that Turley would just want a breather. Instead, he is as passionate and opinionated as ever.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Yahoo Sports reports on Turley's latest venture. The big man is hitting the music scene with a band that he leads onstage and off.
The exhaustive lifestyle is all Turley knows. This is the same man who ripped a helmet off another player and flung it across the field. He only knows one speed and only one way to approach life.
Turley says the music he plays is a "combination of Southern rock, old-school country, heavy metal and some blues and some soul." It also happens to be a hit with the home crowd.
His latest album was the "highest-selling album in the New Orleans market over Evanescence, Adele and Big Easy native son Lil Wayne," according to the report.
One of the best parts of Turley the NFL player, besides the beast mode he played with, was his mouth. Turley was always quick with an honest from the heart assessment of what he thought.
The same goes with the far from aged retiree. Asked his thought on the new CBA that was signed a few months ago, Turley doesn't mince words.
"In a word, I think it's horse [expletive]… It's horse [expletive] but no surprise. The union has failed to negotiate for the players of the National Football League, period. Because the majority of players that run through the National Football League enjoy only a three-to-four-year career. If you don't reach that fourth year, then you don't get your benefits.
"
He also saved some venom for New Orleans most popular athlete. Drew Brees finds that a lot of former players made their beds with bad financial decisions. This is what Turley thinks.
"For a guy like Drew Brees to say the things he said about former players is completely preposterous, to say a cliché word. It's downright ridiculous for him, a guy who should know better being that he's lucky he's not sitting on the couch watching football after the shoulder injury he received in San Diego and would have been in the same boat as a lot of these guys out here dealing with these injury situations.
"
It's refreshing to know that after years of playing at the highest of levels, a man like Turley is not about to change who he is.
The same zeal that he played with had to go somewhere. It is being buried in his new love which is being purchased by a myriad of music fans.
The sharp wit and cutting opinions are still very much there. Turley may not be an NFL player any more, but he is still very much the same man he has always been.
