Hope Solo: USA Women's Soccer Star Will Be Fine Despite Terminated Franchise
USA Women's soccer star Hope Solo is facing somewhat of a good news-bad news situation in regards to the latest news that her Women's Professional Soccer franchise, magicJack, has been terminated.
Naturally, let's start with the bad news.
The bad news is the fact that the MPS franchise that features Solo, Abby Wambach and Megan Rapinoe has been terminated.

Steven Goff of Washington Post reports on the bad news:
""Women’s Professional Soccer announced the termination of its Florida franchise, magicJack, in two sentences:
"SAN FRANCISCO, CA (October 27, 2011) – After careful consideration, the Board of Governors of Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) voted on Tuesday to terminate the Boca Raton based magicJack franchise. WPS will continue to deliver to its players and fans the world’s top women’s soccer league, with plans to make 2012 the most competitive and successful season to date.
"No further explanation was given, but the team’s issues were well documented. Owner Dan Borislow bought the club last year and moved it to South Florida from Washington, where it was known as the Freedom. He proceeded to ignore league guidelines and treat many of his players poorly — behavior that largely overshadowed a team featuring U.S. World Cup stars Abby Wambach, Hope Solo andMegan Rapinoe."
"
You may be wondering how there could be any sort of good news in this situation for Solo...
The good news for Hope Solo is the fact that she is indeed Hope Solo.
Ever since Team USA's incredible run to the FIFA Women's World Cup final game, Solo has been nothing short of a celebrity.
She's known as a superb American athlete and a sex symbol, and just recently she has flaunted her skills on the super-popular reality TV show Dancing With the Stars.
If there were ever a player who would be fine in this kind of situation, it would be Solo.
Simply put, it boils down to this:
Who doesn't want Hope Solo on their team, in their organization or sponsoring their product?
She's going to be the toast of the town, so while it is sad news that magicJack couldn't make it, I'm pretty sure Solo is going to be just fine.
