NFL Power Rankings Week 8: Who Are the League's Top Teams?
The Green Bay Packers and New England Patriots appear to be on a collision course to meet in Indianapolis for Super Bowl XLVI. Both teams have separated themselves from the rest of the NFL.
The Packers are the league's lone remaining undefeated team, and at 7-0 look even better than they did last season on their way to winning Super Bowl XLV.
Green Bay is led by quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is far and away this season's MVP favorite. Rodgers has simply been spectacular. He has racked up a ridiculous quarterback rating of 125.7, which is nearly 21 points higher than New England's Tom Brady, who has the next best number at 104.8.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Packers currently boast the league's fourth-best offense, averaging 423.3 yards per game, and are second in the NFL in points per game at 32.9.
While Green Bay has had close calls against the New Orleans Saints, Carolina Panthers and Minnesota Vikings, Rodgers has managed to pull his team through unscathed.
While I don't expect the Packers to go undefeated this season, I really don't see anyone challenging them for the NFC crown. They are simply too good, too balanced and too explosive on offense to be contained.
The Patriots are currently 5-1 and appear to be much better than anyone else in the AFC. They boast the league's top offense, averaging 474.5 yards per game, and Brady is having another sensational season. New England is also fourth in the NFL in points per game, racking up 30.8 per contest.
While New England's defense ranks dead-last in the NFL (423.7 yards allowed per game) I believe the unit will improve. There is simply too much talent on that side of the ball for the Patriots not to get better.
The Patriots and Packers have the two best quarterbacks in the league and both teams have extremely explosive offenses. Until teams can find a way to consistently stop either team, they will remain the top two teams on my board and will be considered the favorites to reach the Super Bowl.
