Victor Ortiz Can Only Beat Floyd Mayweather by Naming Tacos After Him

Weeks have passed since Floyd Mayweather took the cheap shot heard 'round the world to beat Victor Ortiz, but these two foes are still making headlines.

As far as the fight is concerned, it's pointless to rehash all the drama that happened. It's pointless to discuss who was right and who was wrong.

While it certainly did spark a ton of controversy, the fact of the matter is that on paper the fight is black and white.

On paper it will go down that Mayweather knocked Ortiz out and won the fight, and no matter how much that is disputed it will go down as a fact.

Ortiz lost the fight to Mayweather, and that's the end of the story.

All Ortiz can do now is train for his next bout and hope that one day perhaps he will be able to redeem himself.

Or, he can start a restaurant.

TMZ Sports caught up with Ortiz to ask him some questions, and what they found out was a little bit surprising, and very humorous:

Victor Ortiz -- the guy who Floyd Mayweather sucker punched in a championship bout last month -- already has plans for a massive comeback ... in the gut-busting world of Mexican food.

Victor tells TMZ, he's planning to invest a portion of his $2 million fight earnings in a chain of taco restaurants in L.A. -- and he hit the streets yesterday to scope out some possible locations.

In the video the reporter delves a little bit deeper into Ortiz's idea for the restaurant, even going as far to ask if he would name dishes after people. 

Specifically Floyd Mayweather.

She went on to describe a dish that paraphrased "sounds like it's going to be spicy, but doesn't have a lot of punch to it" and suggested that he call it the "Mayweather".

Two things were apparent about this idea:

1. The reporter obviously spent the better part of the week thinking about her punch line.

2. Ortiz loved it.

Perhaps Ortiz may never be able to beat Mayweather in the ring, but he can beat him by naming a dish after him.
