Missouri vs. Texas A&M: Last-Minute Spread Info, Line, BCS Impact and Prediction
The Texas A&M Aggies are out for revenge against the Missouri Tigers, hoping to end a two-game losing streak.
Last year, the Aggies lost to the Tigers 30-9, but the tables have turned as Texas A&M is the higher-ranked team in Saturday's matchup.
The Tigers are 3-4 tight now, and they desperately need a conference win, but the Aggies know they can't afford to lose another game this season, which is why this will be a good game to see.
This is the last time these two teams will play each other as Big 12 foes, as the Aggies will join the SEC next season, and the Tigers could be right behind them.
With that said, let's take a look at some specifics of this Big 12 showdown.
When: Saturday, Oct. 29 at 12:00 p.m. ET
Where: Kyle Field, College Station, TX
Watch: FX
Spread
The Aggies are favored at -11 right now, and while that may seem high, it really isn't because the Aggies are on a roll right now, whereas the Tigers can't seem to stop any halfway decent team in the Big 12. Makes you wonder how they're going to do in the SEC?
This is will be a close game in the first half, but the Aggies will pull away late to cover the spread.
Over/Under
The over/under is set at 63, which is about right considering how many points both teams have shown they can score this year. I like this game to be a shootout, so take the over as offense will be the focal point for all four quarters.
Key Injuries
For Missouri, defensive tackle Terrell Resonno (knee) missed last week, but he is expected to be back in the starting lineup on Saturday. Backup left tackle Anthony Gatti (knee) is out, and kicker Grant Ressel is questionable with an undisclosed injury.
For Texas A&M, cornerback Coryell Judie (hamstring) is questionable, as well as Kenric McNeal (foot), Cedric Ogbuehi (leg) and Garrick Williams (ankle).
BCS/Top 25 Implications
The Tigers have to win this game if they want to take a step in the right direction, but it's not going to be an easy task.
For the Aggies, they're currently No. 16 in the BCS, and they have to keep winning if they want to be in the hunt for a BCS Bowl. With two losses already, the Aggies will need a lot of help from other teams, but first they must win out.
Keys Missouri Win
The Tigers have to create turnovers and frustrate the Aggies' high powered offense. Both times the Aggies lost this season, it was turnovers that caused their downfall. Winning the turnover battle will keep this game competitive, and allow the Tigers to have a fighting chance.
Keys to Texas A&M Win
Besides holding onto the ball, the Aggies have to get a solid run game going. The Tigers rank first in the Big 12 in rush defense, allowing an average of 79 yards per game.
If Cyrus Gray and Christine Michael keep doing what they do best, then the Aggies will walk away with an easy win. If the Tigers defense slows them down, it's up to the arm of Ryan Tannehill to take care of business, which is something he is capable of doing.
Prediction
The Aggies will make it four wins in a row on Saturday, and it will all be thanks to Tannehill. His arm will lead the Aggies up and down the field, and the Tigers will struggle to come from behind.
