Week 8 Start Em Sit Em: Ben Roethlisberger and QBs You'd Be Stupid To Sit

T.J. McaloonOct 27, 2011

Ben Roethlisberger will carry you to a fantasy football victory this week all by himself, the way that Arian Foster carried teams last week, the way that Tom Brady did in Week 1 against Miami and the way that Matt Forte does almost every week.

But, Roethlisberger will not be the only one to score huge points this week. There are two other quarterbacks, that by themselves, they will score upwards of 30-to-40 points for your fantasy team, while winning you your Week 8 game.

If you happen to sit these players for someone else, then you deserve to lose.

Hopefully for you, you do not have two of these quarterbacks on your roster, thus forcing you to make a coin-flip decision on Sunday morning.

Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers and Patriots are two of the most successful teams in the NFL over the last 10 years. Both teams have won multiple Super Bowls, both teams have played in a number of AFC Championship games and both teams have great quarterbacks.

This week, bench Brady going against the best defense against the pass, and start Roethlisberger going against the worst defense against the pass.

Over the past three games, Roethlisberger has finally found time to throw the ball to his talented receivers. Last week he had a 95-yard bomb to Mike Wallace and another touchdown pass.

This week, Roethlisberger with not only have a multiple touchdown game, but he will also have a passing yard total in the range of 350-375 yards.

Eli Manning, New York Giants

Eli is coming into this game after a bye week win against the Bills, where he had a bad game. But, before that bad game against the Bills, Manning had games of 32, 20 and 27 points against bad defenses in Philadelphia, Arizona and Seattle.

This week against another bad defense in Miami, you must start Manning. Last week the Dolphins gave up a big day, even with an awful performance by Tim Tebow

Start Manning this week, as he will throw two touchdowns and 313 yards.

Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers

Cam may not be the best passer, he may not win a lot of games, but he will score you anywhere in the range of 15-25 fantasy points per week, which is something you must have in a quarterback to be successful.

This week, against a bad Minnesota Vikings defense, he will have another day of 250 yards passing with two touchdowns, with another 60 yards rushing and a touchdown from that as well.

Three quarterbacks that hopefully are on your team and that you will not have to face this week.
