TNA Impact: 2 Major Changes Occur at This Week's Tapings
*Spoilers. If you do not wish to know what happened at this week's Impact tapings, then do not continue reading.
Thanks to PWinsider.com for providing spoilers on the Impact tapings for the next two weeks.
This week, TNA taped two shows for Impact. The first show is the followup from last week where the title match was made between James Storm and Robert Roode.
In what was described as a great match, Robert Roode ended up defeating his Beer Money partner to become the new TNA World Champion.
This happened after Roode turned heel and hit James Storm with a beer bottle to get the win. This looks like exactly what I predicted last week—Beer Money is breaking up.
I understand TNA wants to push Roode as a singles star, but did they really need to break up their best tag team to do it?
The second major change from this week's tapings was Gail Kim and Madison Rayne beat Miss Tessmacher and Tara to become the new TNA Knockout Tag Team champions.
Frankly, I never got why TNA introduced a tag title for the knockouts instead of a second singles title, but at least Kim is holding gold within her first few weeks back with the company.
This was said to be one of the best knockouts matches in a long time and that comes as no surprise as Tara and Gail Kim are both top-notch athletes in the ring.
