Boise State in the National Championship: You Think They Can't Win?
Boise State is starting to makes some noise again. With the losses to both Oklahoma and Wisconsin on the table, all of a sudden Boise is quietly moving into position.
It's a given that the SEC will have one team in the BCS title game, but the race for that second spot is blown wide open.
There are only three teams left with enough BCS computer moxie to trump the broncos, and all of them have very tough and very losable games.
Stanford, who has yet to be tested, has to go to USC this weekend. If they make it through that hurdle they still must face Oregon later in the season.
Clemson only has to visit Georgia Tech, and then make a small trip down to South Carolina.
Oklahoma State has a few minor games against Texas, Kansas State, and of course Bedlam in Oklahoma Country. (Booomer, Soooner!)
Enough about the competition.
The real point of this article is to seriously discuss Boise's chances of winning the title game should they be invited. I wonder if anyone out there is still of the opinion that the Broncos "wouldnt stand a chance."
Is anyone with an ounce of sense still blabbing such moronic crap?
Boise gets soooo much flak for "only preparing for the big games" or "playing one quality opponent per year".
I know one thing is for certain, if you give Chris Petersen and his staff a month to prepare for your team, you better start sweating.
And if you don't bring your "A" game against the team from "B" town, then I can't "C" your team doing anything but getting beat down....bad.
So go ahead, pray for Stanford to run the table, pray for Boise to lose, pray to your momma and daddy and ask 'em to make the Big Bad Broncos just go away. And if you see us in the title game, please tell yourself "they have no chance" and "they wont be able to win".
While your at it, maybe you should ride a unicorn to rainbow land.
