NBA All Star Game 2009: Update Edition
With the 2009 NBA All Star Game approaching, LayupDrill.com decided to make an update edition to the previous Inside Scoop editorial. Here are the predictions of who SHOULD BE in the starting lineups and the rosters of each All-Star Conference team.
Eastern Conference
Starting 5
PG- Devin Harris- Sixth in the league in scoring. First amongst all point-guards with 24.38 PPG.
SG- Dwyane Wade- MVP season. Leading the league in PPG with 29.48.
SF- LeBron James- The King and the Cavaliers are having a great season with an 18-3 record.
PF- Chris Bosh- Monster season, deserves starting over Kevin Garnett. 24.90 PPG, 10.10 RPG.
C- Dwight Howard- 21.18 PPG, 14.45 RPG, 4.00 BPG. Four blocks per game! Need I say more?
Bench- Seven players
PF-Kevin Garnett
SG-Allen Iverson
SG-Joe Johnson
SF-Paul Pierce
SF-Caron Butler
PG-Derrick Rose
C-Zydrunas Ilgauskas- (Not many great Eastern Conference Centers)
On the bubble bench players: Danny Granger (SF, IND), Jose Calderon (PG, TOR),
Vince Carter (SG, NJ)
Head Coach: Doc Rivers- Boston Celtics 20-2, first place in the Eastern Conference.
Western Conference
Starting Five
PG- Chris Paul- MVP type season, once again. 20.59 PPG, 11.76 APG,5.59 RPG, 2.82 SPG.
SG- Kobe Bryant- Not playing as much minutes, but he is still Kobe Bryant.
SF- Stephen Jackson- Jackson has career averages this season in points (20.11) and assists (6.26)
PF- Dirk Nowitzki- Averaging 25.50 PPG, 9.05 RPG, and is stepping it up for the Mavericks.
C-Amar’e Stoudemire- Shooting 56.3% from the field, 22.36 PPG, 8.27 RPG, 1.14 BPG.
Bench- 7 players
PF-Tim Duncan
SG- Brandon Roy
PG- Baron Davis
SF- Carmelo Anthony
C- Andris Biedrins
PG- Tony Parker
C- Yao Ming
On the bubble Bench players: Steve Nash (PG, PHO) Al Jefferson (C, MIN),

Head Coach: Phil Jackson- Los Angeles Lakers 17-3 first place in the Western Conference
