Week 8 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: Peyton Hillis and More Dangerous Players to Avoid

Gabe ZaldivarOct 27, 2011

You may own their replica jerseys. You may put your affection for them more in the love than like category, but for crying out loud, don't start them.

Peyton Hillis leads the charge as NFL stars that will shine ever so dimly in Week 8. If you want to get razzed by your opponent for having the worst decision-making since the Miami Dolphins front office, by all means start these guys.

If you want to instead continue to have some measure of dignity, you will rip these guys from your lineup now and never think about them again.

Well, until Week 9 when we reassess who we like, dislike and downright must have.

Here are a few players that will stink up the joint come this weekend. There is no reason you should get any of their funk on you, as you have been dutifully warned.

1. Peyton Hillis

This could be one of the worst starts this weekend. There are plenty of bad ones out there, but this one is pretty stinky. Peyton Hillis is still a question mark to play with a lingering hamstring issue.

If he does play, he will share the load with Montario Hardesty. Add to that the San Francisco 49ers' phenomenal run defense and Hillis is a guaranteed dud.

For those less-experienced fantasy players, you may be making decision simply on buzz. Please don't let that lead you to place Tebow in your starting lineup. Despite what you heard, Tebow was atrocious for most of the game against the Dolphins.

The Lions are a much better team and have an excellent pass rush. Stick him on the bench until he learns how to throw a pass.

3. Chris Johnson

I know he is playing the Indianapolis Colts. I know this is the same man that ran a gaudy number of yards a couple seasons ago.

However, it is quite evident that Johnson is a very different man between the ears. He is still not as confident in his on the field decisions. And no amount of a bad Colts team will help him.
