Floyd Mayweather Is in Danger of Exiting Limelight with a Whimper

Richard LangfordOct 26, 2011

Floyd Mayweather is facing a string of court cases that threaten to end his career, as he could find himself locked away for a long time. Also, the stress and energy involved in dealing with these cases is enough to keep Mayweather away from the ring.

Mayweather has two cases pending and one that just ended. On Wednesday, he received good news where he was accused of threatening two security officers on October 10th of 2010.

If Money was concerned or relieved by this verdict, he certainly wasn't showing it. Here is his latest tweet.

And here is the video that he was more interested in hyping over dwelling on his legal woes.

This verdict was just the tip of the iceberg for Money.

He has another case pending involving a separate security guard that alleges he poked him. These two cases are of little consequence compared to his third.

In that case, Mayweather faces a felony over a dispute with his ex-girlfriend and his two children. Those charges carry a sentence of 34 years in prison.

Mayweather is no stranger to chaos. And he certainly doesn't let it get in the way of having a good time. Here is a tweet last week from Money.

As impervious as he seems to all of this drama, at some point it has to take a toll. And it certainly will take up a big chunk of his time. He is going to be involved in these cases for the foreseeable future.

Mayweather is 34 years old and his window as an elite boxer is quickly closing. A prison sentence of anything over a year would likely be the end of his career as a main attraction.
