NFL Week 8 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: Jeremy Maclin and Other WRs You Must Start

When setting your fantasy football lineups for Week 8 of the NFL season, don't hesitate to start these receivers:

Jeremy Maclin, Philadelphia Eagles

Maclin has been far-and-away the Eagles' most consistent receiver, as he's caught five or more passes in every game since Week 1.

The Cowboys defense hasn't been kind to receivers this season (ranked ninth against opposing receivers), but both Maclin and DeSean Jackson provide Dallas with a unique challenge. Look for Maclin to be the beneficiary of Jackson spreading the field on Sunday night. 

Anquan Boldin, Baltimore Ravens

Joe Flacco's performance should scare owners of any and all Ravens receivers. However, Boldin still caught a touchdown pass during Flacco's struggles on Monday night. Boldin is still getting the targets, too.

He's a must start this week because there's nothing to like about the Cardinals' defense like there obviously is with the Jaguars'.  

Brandon Lloyd, St. Louis Rams

Lloyd caught six passes for 74 yards in his first start with the Rams, and that was with A.J. Feeley throwing the passes. Sam Bradford should be an immediate upgrade when he returns this week from a sprained ankle.

With no other legitimate targets in the Rams' offense, Lloyd will still be heavily targeted once again. The Rams should be down early against the Saints, too. 

Wes Welker, New England Patriots

The Steelers are still dominant against the pass, which would be a big problem for most receivers in that matchup. Not Wes Welker. He's going to catch passes and get targets no matter the defense.

Welker might not put up the kind of video-game numbers that he has at times in 2011, but he'll be more than fantasy relevant against the Steelers. 

Stevie Johnson, Buffalo Bills

Johnson has been slowed recently with a groin injury, but he had the whole bye week to heal up and get ready for the Redskins. Washington's once-stiff pass defense has seen some leaks emerge over the past few weeks. Johnson will be ready to exploit them in Week 8. 

Jabar Gaffney, Washington Redskins

With both Santana Moss and Chris Cooley on the shelf for this week and beyond, Gaffney should be highly targeted. In reality, only Gaffney and Fred Davis remain as relevant fantasy options.

Even with John Beck starting at quarterback, Gaffney should see enough passes his way to put up big fantasy numbers against the Bills. And don't forget, Buffalo has given up huge yards to receivers all season.
