NFL Picks Week 8: Kansas City Chiefs and More 5-Star Locks

The improving Chiefs will ride their ground game to victory over an overrated Chargers team. But, that is not the only matchup that the betting line has wrong.

San Diego Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs

Play: Chiefs +3.5 

The Chiefs are playing better every week, while the Chargers continue to struggle. The Chiefs narrowly lost to the Chargers 20-17 in Week 3. They have made some big strides since then, and this game is in Kansas City.

Meanwhile, the Chargers are struggling to get their passing game going, and their offense can't carry them, as it has in the past.

The Chargers are struggling on run defense, and this will allow the Chiefs to establish their run game and dictate the action to the Chargers.

New England Patriots at Pittsburgh Steelers

Play: Patriots -3 

Tom Brady has feasted on the Steelers vaunted defense in the past. His ability to make quick and accurate reads has led to him shredding the Steelers blitz heavy defense.

There is little to suggest that won't be the case in this one. Brady will also benefit from an improved run game that is going against a Steelers' rush defense that is not been as dominant as it has been in the past.

The Steelers should have some success against a poor Patriots' pass defense, but they won't be able to score enough points to keep this one within a field goal.

Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles

Play: Cowboys +3.5

The Eagles have a dominant run game. They are averaging just over 170 yards rushing per game. The Cowboys have a stellar run defense. They have allowed just 70 rushing yards per contest.

This will lead to them forcing the Eagles into obvious passing situations where they can let their pass rush over run a weak Eagles' line, and make life miserable for Michael Vick.

On the other side of the ball, the Eagles have been horrible stopping the run, and the Cowboys are beginning to find their running game. This dominance in the ground game will lead to a Cowboy victory.
