NFL Picks Week 8: New York Giants Will Keep Dolphins Reeling
On the day before Halloween, the 0-6 Miami Dolphins will play the 4-2 New York Giants. This is a game I expect the Giants to win with ease. Let's face it, the Dolphins are terrible. The last time these two teams faced each other was 3,471 miles away in London, England.
Oddly enough, the Dolphins are winless again this season. Here are four reasons why the Giants will once again beat Miami.
Let's go to the slides.
The Giants Need to Get the Running Game Going
1 of 4The Giants rank 30th in rushing yards. That is not a good ranking for the Giants, especially since they are considered to be a running team. Ahmad Bradshaw ran for 104 yards and three touchdowns against a very good Bills' defense.
We could also see the return of a healthy Brandon Jacobs who is battling a swollen knee. The Dolphins have the 20th best run defense in the league, so there is hope for them. I expect the Giants to go to the run game frequently.
Eli Manning
2 of 4Is it just me that assumes every time Eli throws a pass it is going to be intercepted? Lately, however, he has not been throwing interceptions. He has not forced unnecessary throws and has made timely completions to keep drives alive and generate points.
Manning has been playing really well, while the Dolphins have a mediocre, at best, defense. Expect Eli's sensational play to continue.
Justin Tuck
3 of 4Guess whose back?
Justin Tuck is back and he will join Jason Pierre-Paul and Osi Umenyirora for the first time since Week 3. Whoever the Miami Dolphins' quarterback is, he needs all the luck in the world.
