Tony Romo Will Struggle to Find Balance Between Football and Fatherhood

In the middle of a dificult season, Tony Romo has learned that his wife, Candice Crawford, is expecting the couple's first child.

He has certainly been a disappointment on the football field this season, as he single-handedly blew second-half leads against the Detroit Lions and New York Jets.

The Dallas Cowboys are currently 3-3 and desperately need Romo to be on top of his game for the remainder of the season.

So much for that. Romo has bigger things on his plate at the moment. With his wife pregnant, he is going to have a lot to deal with away from the football field.

Back in 2007, Tony Romo appeared to be distracted by his former girlfriend Jessica Simpson. She was immediately accused of being bad luck for the Cowboys QB.

While no one is comparing that situation to his current one, it should be a bit worrisome for Cowboys fans. With so much to deal with off the field, there is certainly a chance that he will become distracted by this situation as well.

At this point, Crawford is in the early stages, so this will last for the remainder of the season and into the offseason.

Romo has always been known as a choke artist and someone that is easily distracted. There is going to be a lot of pressure on him in the coming months, and there is no way to tell how he will handle off-field distractions this time around.

Based on how Romo has handled adversity through the years, you definitely shouldn't bet on him being a superstar in the coming months.

His first test will come this weekend in a game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Romo and his team will falter, and the pressure will once again build around up around him.
