NFL Picks Week 8: Detroit Lions and More Teams That Will Get Much-Needed Wins
Every one of these teams sits at above .500. Still, they all seem to be trending in the wrong direction.
They're all certainly factors in the playoff races right now, but they need to get going in the right direction to stay that way.
Fortunately, they are all in good matchups this week. Whether a win puts these guys into the playoffs remains to be seen. But for at least one week, these teams will be able to walk tall.

New York Giants
The Giants sit at 4-2 right now. That's obviously a fine record, and it's good enough to put the Giants in first place.
There is one slight problem with them, though. The main problem is that the Giants have suffered a lot of injuries that will likely catch up with them at some point.
This week, the Cowboys and Eagles play each other. So, someone is going to win that game and get a little closer to the Giants in the process.
The good news is that the Giants host the winless Miami Dolphins. This week will go the same for Miami as their previous six games have gone.
The Giants will win fairly easily.
Detroit Lions
Things were looking so good for the Lions. Even if they had a couple of big comebacks, they were 5-0 and the talk of the NFL.
While 5-2 is good, it obviously doesn't look quite as impressive as 7-0 would look right now.
The two losses came at home to teams that the Lions will quite possibly have to face in the playoffs. But Detroit will get it right this week with a trip to Denver.
The Broncos secondary is not good, and the Lions are much better than the Dolphins. Remember that Denver needed a Tim Tebow miracle to even beat Miami.
This week will not be as kind to the Broncos, as the Lions will take this one convincingly.
Buffalo Bills
Despite a great start that included a win over the Patriots, the Bills are in kind of a tough spot. They have dropped two of their last three games.
The good news is that they are facing a team that's struggling just as bad as they are. If this game was in Washington, I would go with the Redskins.
But the game is in Buffalo, so I like the Bills in this one.
They will keep themselves in the playoff mix with a big win this week.
