NFL Picks Week 8: Rams, Cardinals and Teams with No Chance of Winning

Andrew KulhaOct 26, 2011

After this past Monday Night Football game in which the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars beat up the mighty Baltimore Ravens, I almost feel scared to say that any team in the NFL has no chance at winning.

Going into that game, it was almost a unanimous decision that the Jaguars had absolutely no chance at beating the Ravens.

Yet, somehow, they were able to do so and shock the NFL.

That being said, coming into Week 8 of the 2011 NFL season, I am still extremely confident that there are a handful of teams that have no shot at winning.

Sure, I understand that I am spitting directly in the face of the "any given Sunday" crowd. However, once you see these matchups, I feel you'll probably agree with me.

Arizona Cardinals at Baltimore Ravens

I see no way that Ray Lewis allows his team to lose two games in a row in which they are heavily favored.

The Ravens are at home, where they traditionally play very strong football.

I could give you statistical evidence, but there is no doubt in my mind that this is an emotional game for the Ravens. They need this win in order to stay in the AFC hunt.

Like I said, Ray Lewis won't let them lose.

New Orleans Saints at St. Louis Rams

Are the Saints getting the benefit of an easy schedule or what?

Last week, they took on the winless Indianapolis Colts at home and absolutely destroyed them. This week, they travel to play the winless and beat-up St. Louis Rams.

While this is certainly an easy two-week stretch, kudos to the Saints for taking advantage. I see no way that the Rams win this game.

Washington Redskins at Buffalo Bills

I believe the Bills are going to circle the wagons against the Redskins. Washington started off great this year, but they ran into massive injury problems.

They've lost star tight end Chris Cooley, running back Tim Hightower and receiver Santana Moss, who broke his hand. Their offense won't be able to keep up with the Bills.
