NFL Predictions Week 8: DeMarco Murray, Tim Tebow and 5 Players Who Will Dazzle
Week 8 of the NFL season is coming up, and it’s time to make some predictions on which fantasy players are going to absolutely light it up.
Based on matchups, previous performance and pure instinct, I think the players on this list are headed for greatness.
If you are looking to have a monster week and absolute dominate your opponent, try to acquire these five guys and watch the points roll in.
DeMarco Murray
1 of 5Murray set a Dallas Cowboys’ rushing record on Sunday, going off for 253 yards and a touchdown.
“I never thought in a million years that I’d ever have a day like this,” Murray said. “This is what I’ve been working hard for since my Pop Warner days.”
Felix Jones is continuing to nurse his ankle sprain and will not be available in Week 8, so Murray should be in for another huge day against the weak Philadelphia Eagles run defense.
Tim Tebow
2 of 5Tebow strung together a nice game against the Miami Dolphins although many of his points came late in the game and in overtime.
I think he finally got comfortable and should be able to build on that performance this week against the Detroit Lions.
While he has a tough matchup, the Lions haven’t faced a dual-threat QB like Tebow, and his ability to make plays out of the pocket and evade the pass rush could make for a big day.
Vernon Davis
3 of 5The 49ers’ TE has had an up-and-down season in terms of production.
I’m predicting Davis has an ‘up’ week against the Cleveland Browns, as they give up the fourth most points in the league to his position.
The 49ers are coming off of a bye and have had plenty of time to prepare for this lowly Browns team and realize that Vernon is the key to exploiting their weak defense.
His strength, speed and size against that defense make for a beautiful matchup for Davis owners.
Antonio Brown
4 of 5Is the Hines Ward era in Pittsburgh coming to a close?
Antonio Brown and his fantasy owners certainly hope so.
With Ward leaving with an ankle injury last week, Brown was able to explode for seven receptions and 102 yards.
If Ward sits out or is limited against the weak Patriots’ secondary, Brown is going to have a very nice day for himself.
Chris Johnson
5 of 5If CJ2K doesn’t have his ‘breakout’ game against the Indianapolis Colts, he’s not going to have one this season.
As a first-round fantasy draft choice, Johnson has come up woefully short of expectations.
After becoming one of the highest-paid players in the NFL, Johnson certainly isn’t living up to his end of the bargain.
Expect him to have a good game against the terrible Colts’ defense to prove his doubters wrong.
