2011 Fantasy Football: Week 8 Wide Receiver Rankings
Here’s the LestersLegends’ Week 8 2011 fantasy football wide receiver rankings.
1. Calvin Johnson @ Denver: If Stafford can’t go he’ll be downgraded, but at his level I’m not sure if he’d even fall out of the top slot without his star QB.
2. Mike Wallace vs. New England: The Pats are dead last against the pass and Wallace is averaging 104.3 ypg.

3. Wes Welker @ Pittsburgh: Welker is averaging a ridiculous 130.8 and a TD per game.
4. Hakeem Nicks vs. Miami: The bye should heal the bumps and bruises. He’s averaging 107.7 yards in his past three games. The Dolphins have allowed 12 passing TDs.
5. Marques Colston @ St. Louis: Averaging seven catches for 108 yards and 1.5 TDs the past two games. The Rams have allowed 13 passing TDs.
6. Steve Smith vs. Minnesota: Has four games of 140+ yards. Vikings are giving up 274.9 passing ypg.
7. Jeremy Maclin vs. Dallas: Averaging 93.8 yards the past five games.
8. Dez Bryant @ Phildelphia: Averaging 67.8 yards and 0.8 TDs per game.
9. Dwayne Bowe vs. San Diego: The streaky Bowe is averaging 95.8 yards and 0.8 TDs in his past five games.
10. Stevie Johnson vs. Washington: The bye week gave Stevie time to heal. He’s averaging 63.7 yards and 0.67 TDs per game.
11. Larry Fitzgerald @ Baltimore: Averaging 88.6 yards the past five games with a pair of touchdowns.
12. Anquan Boldin vs. Arizona: Cardinals are giving up 274.2 passing ypg.
13. Vincent Jackson @ Kansas City: V-Jax couldn’t escape Revis Island, but should be better against a KC defense that has allowed 12 passing TDs.
14. Miles Austin @ Philadelphia: Was overlooked as DeMarco Murray, Dez and Witten got the love.
15. A.J. Green @ Seattle: Averaging 75.5 yards and 0.67 TDs per game. Bengals will likely throw more with Cedric Benson out.
16. DeSean Jackson vs. Dallas: Went for 210 yards the last time he faced Dallas. He’s less consistent than Maclin but more likely for the huge game.
17. Brandon Marshall @ New York Giants: Averaging 80.5 yards per game and a ton of targets.
18. Brandon Lloyd vs. New Orleans: He’ll see a ton of targets no matter who is at QB. My guess is Bradford will be the guy this week, which is an upgrade.
19. Pierre Garcon @ Tennessee: Garcon continues to see the more targets than Reggie Wayne, which is crazy but you have to adjust.
20. Mario Manningham vs. Miami: Five catches for 56 yards in each of his two last games. Should be on the same page as Eli coming out of the bye.
21. Jabar Gaffney @ Buffalo: Should see plenty of looks with the Santana Moss injury.
22. Percy Harvin @ Carolina: His health is a concern, but if he can play through his rib injury he’s a decent option now that Christian Ponder has energized the Vikings offense.
23. Reggie Wayne @ Tennessee: Probably misses Peyton Manning more than anyone in the league.
24. Steve Breaston @ Kansas City: Breaston is averaging 65.0 yards and 0.5 TDs over his past four games.
25. Nate Washington vs. Tennessee: The offense went to sleep against Houston, but Indy, who has allowed 14 passing touchdowns should provide opportunity.
26. Antonio Brown vs. New England: With Hines Ward banged up Brown should see more looks. He’s had three stinkers and four solid games so he’s a bit of a gamble, but a decent one against the Pats’ porous pass defense.
27. Michael Crabtree vs. Cleveland: Crabtree is averaging 60.3 yards over his past three games.
28. Demaryius Thomas vs. Detroit: Tebow locked into Thomas, who scored but only had 27 yards. He should get better as he gels with Tebow.
29. Sidney Rice vs. Cincinnati: Rice should be better at home, especially if T-Jack can suit up.
30. Torrey Smith vs. Arizona: Has the speed to get by Arizona’s uninspiring secondary.
31. Michael Jenkins @ Carolina: Showed a nice rapport with Christian Ponder.
32. Victor Cruz vs. Miami: Quiet in his last game, but has been highly productive for the most part.
33. Deion Branch @ Pittsburgh: Averaging 69.0 yards and 0.5 TDs in his past four games.
34. Jerome Simpson @ Seattle: Averaging 4.3 catches for 55.7 yards in his past three games.
35. David Nelson vs. Washington: Rebounded from two poor games. Should be a decent WR3 with six teams on bye.
36. Eric Decker vs. Detroit: Forgotten man last week should see more looks.
37. Greg Little @ San Francisco: Tough match-up, but he’ll be targeted. Has 17 catches in his past three games.
38. Early Doucet @ Baltimore: Averaging 53.5 yards in his past four games.
39. Kevin Walter vs. Jacksonville: Will lose looks if AJ returns, but won’t should also receive less defensive attention.
40. Emmanuel Sanders vs. New England: Should get extra looks if Hines Ward is out.
