Week 8 Waiver Wire: Bernard Scott and More RB Sleepers to Add
It's time once again to examine the fantasy football waiver wire to find out which running backs provide the best free agent value in Week 8. If DeMarco Murray is still available in your league, he should be option No. 1. If Murray is gone, here are three sleepers to consider.
Alfonso Smith, Arizona Cardinals
Beanie Wells is dealing with a knee injury that may keep him out of Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens. Should he sit out, Smith will be the offense's biggest beneficiary and would be worth a flex start.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Smith scored a touchdown and seven fantasy points last week against Pittsburgh after Wells went down. Despite the tough matchup, he is the team's best option inside the red zone and is one of this week's sneakiest plays at any position.
Week 8 projection: eight fantasy points
Leon Washington, Seattle Seahawks
Marshawn Lynch is banged up and doesn't really deserve to be a starting running back anyway. Washington received the most touches last week and will get every opportunity to wrestle the job away from “Beast Mode.”
Washington averaged 5.6 yards per carry against a strong Cleveland Browns run defense and should see more carries this week against Cincinnati. He has plenty of big-play potential and is also a good receiver. He's a good play this week and could become more valuable as time goes on.
Week 8 projection: eight fantasy points
Bernard Scott, Cincinnati Bengals
With Cedric Benson's suspension saga finally resolved, Scott will fill in as the lead back for the Bengals this week. Even though Brian Leonard will probably steal some carries, it's not a big enough concern to avoid Scott.
He had a couple big games as a rookie, but hasn't been given many opportunities since because Benson has been surprisingly durable. Sunday's clash with Cincinnati will probably be a grind-it-out game, so owners won't need to worry about either team abandoning the run.
Week 8 projection: 10 fantasy points
