NFL Power Rankings Week 8: Detroit Lions and More That Will Continue to Slide
The Detroit Lions are sliding down the power rankings, and they aren't going to be able to stop that slide. Their 5-0 start is suddenly a 5-2 start, and it could soon be even closer to .500.
They aren't alone in terms of other teams that won't be able to stop their free falls.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Lions can't run and they can't stop the run. They are 27th in rushing offense and 28th in rushing yards allowed per game. This is not a recipe for long-term health in the NFL.
They don't have a particularly daunting schedule coming up as they face the Broncos, Bears and Panthers, but with these deficiencies, they could lose any week.
No. 9 San Diego Chargers
The Chargers got off to a fast start this season, but that was due to the fact that they played horrible teams. They have played two teams that are currently over .500 in the Patriots and Jets, and they have lost both of those games.
This passing offense is not clicking like it has in years past, and this team is not as dangerous because of that.
Their next three games are at Kansas City, then home to both Green Bay and Oakland. I would be surprised if they won more than one of those games.
No. 20 Washington Redskins
The injuries to Tim Hightower and Santana Moss are going to kill an offense that was already struggling.
The Redskins have a solid defense, but they aren't going anywhere with their QBs, John Beck and Rex Grossman.
Their next three games are at Buffalo, home to San Francisco, and at Miami. They aren't going to win more than one of those games.
