NFL Picks Week 8: Pittsburgh Steelers and Teams Destined for Victory

In a week with some epic games between some of the best teams in the NFL, there are some games that are too close to call and some games that you can take one look and see one team is definitely going to win.  

Now, it takes someone very bold to take a shot at these games, to make a prediction, that not only will a team win, but that they are a guaranteed for victory.  

Three games stick out with two teams that have been really good through seven weeks of this season, and one that will finally get their first win of the season.  

Who are these three teams? Well, read below to find out.

Pittsburgh Steelers over New England Patriots  

This is turning into one of the best NFL games that happens almost every year. In previous years, the Steelers have stopped New England’s long winning streak, Tom Brady has torched the Steelers secondary after they made negative comments towards Brady and his offense and saw Wes Welker get knocked into next year.  

This year, the Patriots and Steelers are once again two of the best teams in the AFC.  

They come in with two of the best records in the conference, both are leading their respected divisions and both are favorites to meet again in the AFC Championship game.  

However, this year the Steelers have a better passing offense than the Patriots with a better deep threat in WR Mike Wallace. Plus if the Patriots try to rush QB Ben Roethlisberger, it will result in Ben making plays outside of the pocket, where he is more comfortable.  

Throw in that the Pats have the worst pass defense in the NFL, and you have the makings of a big win for the Steelers.  

Prediction: Steelers 31, Patriots 21

New Orleans Saints over St. Louis Rams 

Did you all see what this Saints team did to the winless Colts last week, when they defeated the Colts 62-7? And this week they have another winless team in the Rams? 

Holy bleep, does it get any easier for this New Orleans Saints team?  

There is no need to go into deep analysis of this game, as Drew Brees will have an easy time picking apart this bad Rams secondary and will throw for another five touchdowns.  

Prediction: Saints 45, Rams 13

Indianapolis Colts over Tennessee Titans 

Okay, we are going out on a limb here and saying that this week the Colts will get their first win of the season.  

Both teams are coming into this week after getting their tails kicked last week by the Saints and the Texans. This week, one team will respond with a very emotional win, while the other team falls deeper into their losing streak. 

This is the week that the Colts get their first win, as Curtis Painter plays mistake-free football and the Colts defense shuts down the disappointing Chris Johnson and the bad Titans passing game.  

Prediction: Colts 17, Titans 14 

There you have it, three teams that are guaranteed to win this week. Two will continue to be in the NFL’s elite while the last team will finally get its first win of the season.
