Terrell Owens Makes Last Ditch Effort to Reignite Illustrious Career
Make no mistake about it, Terrell Owens is one of the best wide receivers we've ever watched play football.
Just a year ago he recorded 72 catches for 983 yards and nine touchdowns as a member of a bad Cincinnati Bengals team at the age of 36.
He's always been a threat to score touchdowns (scored double-digit TDs in eight different seasons and scored less than six only three times in 15 seasons) and is arguably the most physically dominant receiver we've ever seen play the game.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
His career looked like it might have come to a close this offseason though. The veteran receiver tore up his ACL and had surgery in April.
But Owens isn't ready to hang up the cleats just yet, has been rehabbing for months, and is set to put on a live open workout today in Los Angeles.
UPDATE: Tuesday, October 25 at 3:10 p.m. EST
Owens' workout finishes with no teams present and no 40-yard dash.
That was the wisest move seeing as teams want to record their own times for that activity.
The veteran receiver looked good physically, but also invited several more question marks.
Either way, teams know where he stands now and should any of them be interested they have something to build on.

Former NFL executive Andrew Brandt brought up a very interesting point in TO's possible comeback:
As he continues to workout he physically looks like the machine he always has been, but there are questions as to how he can contribute right now.
It will still take time for him to get into football shape.

As Owens goes through cone drills it is important to note Jerry Rice and Darren Woodson's commentary on ESPN.
The two are both extremely experienced and successful former players and they know exactly what it takes to succeed.
Owens has a noticeably slight limp when he pulls up after drills.
He's also out of football shape right now and shows legitimate fatigue before he's even started running routes.
Don't expect there to be a ton of positive reviews coming out of this workout if things continue.
UPDATE: Tuesday, October 25 at 2:15 p.m. EST
Owens is currently going through drills ladder and cone drills.
Former teammate and the best receiver to ever play the game, Jerry Rice, is live covering the event for ESPN. He said Owens is leaner then he has been in years.
Here is a look at Owens' footwork a few months ago.
The ESPN First Take crew debated where Owens' best fit in the NFL would be.
As usual, there are always a few surprising answers.
UPDATE: Tuesday, October 25 at 2:05 p.m. EST
NFL Network's official Twitter was looking for some fan reaction what Owens would look like today. One of the best responses came via @nfm2112:
Look for Owens to be much, much faster than that.
UPDATE: Tuesday, October 25 at 1:55 p.m. EST
Soto reports Owens is out on the field and raises an interesting question:
Expect to see Owens really work it as he normally would.
He's one of the best physical specimens we've seen in some time.
INITIAL UPDATE
The question is: does any NFL team care?
According to NFL Network's Lindsay Soto, who is live at the workout, there are currently no teams present:
Jim Wyatt of The Tennesseean reports that Owens' agent, Drew Rosenhaus, tried to get a workout with the Titans:
There is a very strong chance that no teams show up at all.
Rosenhaus and Owens know this though and, as Soto reported, will still send tapes to every team.
The veteran wide receiver, if truly back in shape the way he was last year (and knowing Owens' workout habits that is very, very likely), teams could certainly use a weapon like him.
Owens has been a nuisance in the locker rooms in years past, but he's missed half the season already and is just looking for an opportunity at this point in his career.
We'll update more as Owens gets out on the field and starts catching the rock.
