"God has a sense of humor......"

They are all so very, very confused when it comes to the Denver Broncos quarterback.

Yes he can play, no he can't. He's a lousy NFL quarterback. No he's not. He can't throw the football. Yes he can. He can't learn the pro game. Yes he can.

Tim Tebow has them all confused and rightfully so because he's living proof that God has a sense of humor.

Tebow makes a lot of people uncomfortable when he wears his beliefs, his Christianity on his sleeve. No, that won't change anytime soon, hopefully never, because first and foremost, while the world still tries to decide if he is or isn't a good quarterback, Tebow's a good young man.

And isn't that exactly what our world needs more of?

Now, back to this NFL quarterbacking gig of his. You can only begin to imagine the anguish that seeps through Bronco headquarters on a daily basis. It's the old, "What do we do with Tebow?" proposition that is surely driving the two Johns—Elway and Fox—to wonder what they're going to do with the guy.

You see, Tebow is very imperfect when it comes to "fitting the mold" of your traditional NFL pocket passer. The kid's awkward in the pocket, dips the ball in a paint bucket somewhere below his waist before he throws it and when he throws it, it wobbles, for goodness sakes. And yes, he misses more than he hits.

Talk about imperfect? What about those first 55 minutes of that pillow fight last Sunday with the hopeless and hapless Miami Dolphins who give new meaning to lame-duck when you're talking about embattled coach Tony Sparano?

Tebow is about as imperfect as it gets and no doubt, God likes that. God loves imperfection, it shows in all of us and no wonder so many people rally around Tebow. It's simply the imperfect, supporting the imperfect which gives Tebow an unlimited fanbase.

God has to like that. A lot.

Another great thing about Tebow is that he is actually bringing attention to God and that's a good thing. Somewhere along the line in this country, we've seemed to have forgotten that the founding fathers deemed us to be "One Nation Under God" and long ago, we even went so far as to put "In God We Trust" on our currency.

The goobs of political correctness find that makes them very uneasy as no doubt Tebow makes them equally uncomfortable when he sounds the advertisement for God. We can't have people talking about God, it simply isn't fair to those who don't believe in God.

The real message here is that this NFL gig is only a temporary stop for Tebow and it won't matter if he plays well enough to be a huge star, doesn't matter if he doesn't play well enough to make the Hall of Fame.

There are other things out there awaiting him and you can sense that deep down inside, he knows and understands that.

With all the misery around the world, we need leaders to help ease that suffering.

Yep, Tebow's got them all confused because more than anything, he has everyone's attention, good or bad, he's got their attention.

Some will tell you that the Broncos won last week in spite of Tebow, others will say he simply willed his team to victory.

Tebow has those who love him and those who simply do not and never will.

But either way, somewhere, God is smiling, he's grinning, he's enjoying this.

It's all part of His plan, most likely.

Imperfection is such a wonderful thing.
