NFL Week 8 Picks: Denver Broncos and Teams That Will Fail Miserably

T.J. McaloonOct 25, 2011

The NFL can be a mirage league. One week your team is looking like it’s going to be on the verge of a division title or playoff birth and who knows maybe a Super Bowl run. But, the next week, after you have felt so great about your team, it comes crashing down on you and you’re back to feeling horrible.

This will happen to these three teams that all had huge wins last week. These three teams either had come from behind victories or played a great game, resulting in an upset victory.

If you’re a fan of one of these three teams, do not buy into their success from the previous week. Your team is not that good and last week they were lucky.

These three teams will lose this week and you will feel miserable about them afterwards.

Denver Broncos

Denver played a horrible game against Miami and was lucky to come away with a victory. Tim Tebow is not a good quarterback. He played horrible for the first 57 minuets of this game and will lose this week against the Detroit Lions.

The Dolphins are a horrible team and if the Broncos play the same way against the Lions this week, they will end up losing by double-digits, and there won’t be a magical Tebow comeback.

Cleveland Browns

Cleveland got away with a lucky win against the Seattle Seahawks, holding them to only three points while only scoring six.

The game was an odd one, because coming into it, the Browns were a decent offense with a budding passing game. But, playing the NFC West helped in their victory, as the Seahawks are just as bad as the Browns.

This week the Browns get another NFC West opponent, as they travel to San Francisco to play the first place 49ers. If the Browns play the same offense against the 49ers, they are guaranteed to lose, falling back below under .500.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs have strung together some impressive wins as of late. However, they have not played a team as good as the Chargers, since the last time these two teams played in Week 3.

That loss to the Chargers in San Diego was only by three points, but the Chiefs were overmatched for the majority of the game.

The same will happen this week, as the Chiefs host the Chargers on Monday Night Football.

Three teams who all have their fan base thinking that they can make a run at the playoffs. But, after a disappointing loss this week, they will be back to looking to the NFL draft during the playoffs.
