NFL Week 8 Picks: Dallas vs. Philadelphia and Games You Just Can't Miss

Donald WoodOct 25, 2011

It’s already Week 8 folks, and while this week’s schedule isn’t as exciting as some of the other so far, this still has all the makings of a fantastic weekend.

These are the three games you have to watch if you love the NFL, and there will be no better match-ups than these three.

Dallas vs. Philadelphia—The Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles are two of the biggest rivals in professional sports, and there is no better way to watch this battle unfold than on Sunday Night Football.

Detroit Pistons v Cleveland Cavaliers - Game Three

Buzz: Duren Eyeing Sign-and-Trade

While the Dallas Cowboys are solid on defense, their offense has been dreadful at times this season. On the same token, the Eagles offense has been stellar but their defense has been the real problem.

This matchup is like a faulty version of the old adage impenetrable force meeting an immovable object. Or something like that.

Prediction: Eagles 27, Dallas 24

New England vs. Pittsburgh—For the first time in as long as I can remember, a matchup between the New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers will be a passing battle between Big Ben Roethlisberger and Tom Brady.

The battle used to be Tom Brady against the Steelers tough defense, but their lack of talent this season will make it easy for Brady to pick apart the aged Pittsburgh squad.

New England’s defense is even worse, and this will end up being a passing show that could get ugly on both sides of the ball.

Prediction: Patriots 31, Steelers 27

San Diego vs. Kansas City—While this game doesn’t seem like very much to the naked eye, it’s one of the most intriguing divisional match-ups of the season.

The Kansas City Chiefs still stink, but the offense is starting to figure things out and the defense has a ton of confidence coming off the beating put on the Oakland Raiders.

San Diego is coming off a heart breaking loss to the New York Jets, and it’s important for them to not take the Chiefs lightly. This Monday Night game has the feeling of an upset.

Prediction: Chargers 20, Chiefs 10
