Jason Smith Injury: Updates on Rams Star's Week 8 Status and Fantasy Value

St. Louis Rams right tackle Jason Smith left the team's game against the Dallas Cowboys on a stretcher after suffering a head injury on Sunday.

His availability for St. Louis' NFC clash with New Orleans Saints will have a big affect on the fantasy value of Sam Bradford (if healthy) and Steven Jackson.

Josh Smith is inactive today, as expected, according to NBC's Josh Alper

Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 6:55 p.m. EDT

Jason Smith saw a specialist today regarding his recent neck injury and is unlikely to play again Dallas, according to STLToday.com's Jim Thomas.

"After Smith saw a spine specialist, it was determined that there was nothing structurally wrong but that he had a bruised neck. Veteran Adam Goldberg takes over Smith's starting spot for St. Louis."

The team's official Twitter page updated Smith's status following the game on Sunday.

The Rams have had enough bad luck already this season and can't afford another major injury, so the tweet serves as good news.
