NFL Power Rankings: Dolphins at Giants and Games That Don't Deserve TV Coverage

Wes ODonnellOct 25, 2011

The Week 8 byes in the NFL put some of the league's most intriguing teams on the shelf.

No Aaron Rodgers-led Packers dominance. No most catch-and-runs from Matt Forte. No Matt Ryan to Roddy White connection. And no lessons from Darrelle Revis on how to shut down wide receivers.

Instead, we are treated to games like the winless Miami Dolphins visiting the New York Giants.

That isn't the only game worth avoiding, either.

Dolphins at Giants

The only positive thing the Dolphins have going is that this game is on the road. That isn't much consolation, though.

The last time Matt Moore wandered into East Rutherford against the Giants (Week 1 last year as a member of the Panthers), he was picked off three times, lost a fumble once and had to leave the game in the fourth quarter after being hit 11 times including four sacks.

Now the Dolphins come into MetLife Stadium giving up the third-most sacks in the league.

That doesn't bode well at all, as the Giants lead the league in sacks.

There will be nothing pretty about this game, and it wouldn't shocking to me if the Dolphins ended up running the Wildcat with rookie running back Daniel Thomas by the time the game is over.

Saints at Rams

Is it fun to watch a blowout? Only if it is your favorite team on the screen.

Was it fun to watch the Saints pummel the Colts on Sunday Night Football? No.

This game is self-explanatory. The Rams have scored less points all season than the Saints did in Sunday night's game alone.

Not only is this game not worth watching, but it would actually be cruel for them to play this live.

St. Louis is in for a world of hurt, and the Saints showed they have mercy for no one.

Colts at Titans

Not only should the Colts be banned from national television for at least another year, but they should be banned from local television for the rest of this year, too.

The Colts are running a close second to the Rams as the league's most embarrassing team.

The loss of Peyton Manning aside, there are still 53 other professional football players on their roster.

To make this game worse, they are going up against a Titans team whose most electric player, Chris Johnson, is playing like a zombie on AMC's hit show The Walking Dead.

Not only should you not watch this game, but you could probably get away without even watching the highlights.
