NFL Week 8 Picks: Baltimore Ravens and Teams Guaranteed Victories

T.J. McaloonOct 25, 2011

Baltimore Ravens, what happened to your team on Monday Night Football? What happened to a certain victory on the road against one of the worst teams in the NFL?

Last week the Ravens weren’t the only team that had a questionable loss. The NFL is a funny league, as one week your team can be right up there with the elite, only for the next week to look like one of the worst teams, in the cellar with the Dolphins and Colts.

But, fear not teams that fell last week, this week your team will rebound nicely with a big win. This week, your team will look like the dominant force that you’ve seen earlier this season.

This week these three teams are guaranteed to win.

Baltimore Ravens

What happened to the Ravens team that dominated the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Jets? Monday night was their second loss on the road to a team from the AFC South division, a division that has a division leader that is 4-3 on the year and also contains the 0-7 Indianapolis Colts.

However, this week the Ravens come back home to play the one-win Arizona Cardinals.

Baltimore will get a huge bounce back win, as this Cardinals team travels across the country to play a 1 p.m. game, which will kick off at 10 a.m. Arizona time.

Detroit Lions

The Lions have lost two straight games after starting off the season on fire. But this week they travel to Denver to take on the Tim Tebow-led Denver Broncos. This week, the Lions' tenacious pass rush will force Tebow into making horrible throws, resulting in turnovers for the Broncos.

Even if the Lions play with two of their best offensive weapons in Jahvid Best and Matt Stafford injured, their defense will be able to carry the team to a big victory on the road, ending their current losing streak.

San Diego Chargers

The Chargers stay on the road this week, as they travel to Kansas City to take on a hot Chiefs team. It’s exactly what this Chargers team needs, as they are coming off of a bad loss to the New York Jets.

The Chargers will win on Monday Night as they are the more talented team and they are still the best team in the AFC West division.

These three teams suffered bad losses last week, either on the road or at home, but all three of these teams will get back to winning and back to playing like the good teams we know they are.
