2011 Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings: NFL Week 8

Ryan LesterOct 25, 2011

Here’s the LestersLegends’ Week 8 2011 fantasy football quarterback rankings:

1.  Drew Brees at St. Louis:  Brees just can’t be stopped. He’s averaging 353.9 passing yards and 2.6 TDs per game.

2.  Cam Newton vs. Minnesota:  He’s slowed down, but still averaging 300 passing YPG. It’s his 38.0 rushing yards and 1.0 TD per game that’s making him a fantasy legend.

3.  Michael Vick vs. Dallas:  Vick had the bye week to get healthy. He’s averaging 62 rushing YPG, but has yet to score on the ground. That should change this week.

4. Tom Brady at Pittsburgh: The Steelers have the best pass defense in the league, but Brady can throw on anyone.

5. Ben Roethlisberger vs. New England: The Patriots have the worst pass defense in the league at 322.2 YPG allowed.

6. Tim Tebow vs. Detroit: You can never count Tebow out. He gets it done with his feet and his arm.

7. Matthew Stafford at Denver: His ranking depends on his health as he was limping after last week’s game.

8. Philip Rivers at Kansas City: The Chiefs have allowed 12 passing TDs. Rivers is averaging 285.8 YPG. His TDs should go up with Gates in the lineup.

9. Eli Manning vs. Miami: The Dolphins have allowed 257.5 YPG and two passing TDs per game.

10. Matt Schaub vs. Jacksonville: He is averaging 310.7 YPG and 1.7 TDs in past three games and Andre Johnson could return.

11. Joe Flacco vs. Arizona: The Cardinals are giving up 274.2 YPG and 1.5 passing TDs per game. Boldin will be pumped to face his former squad.

12. Tony Romo at Philadelphia: This looks like this could be another DeMarco Murray-heavy game as the Birds struggle with the run.

13. Andy Dalton at Seattle: No Benson in this one, which means more Dalton. The Seahawks are allowing 249.7 YPG.

14. Ryan Fitzpatrick vs. Washington: The Redskins have only allowed five passing touchdowns this year.

15. Matt Hasselbeck vs. Indianapolis: Hasselbeck has slowed, but the Colts have allowed a league-high 14 passing TDs with just three picks.

16. John Beck at Buffalo: The Bills are giving up 284.8 YPG. Beck has ran a TD in the past two games.

17. Matt Cassel vs. San Diego: The Chargers are giving up just 175.7 YPG.

18. Alex Smith vs. Cleveland: The Browns are giving up just 172.0 YPG.

19. Colt McCoy at San Francisco: The Browns were terrible last week, but the Niners are giving up 261 YPG.

20. Christian Ponder @ Carolina: The rookie looked good against the Packers.
