Fantasy Football Week 8 Waiver Wire: Tim Tebow and Week 7 Stars Bound to Bust

Ryan RudnanskyOct 25, 2011

In Tim Tebow's first start of the season in Week 7, all he did was score the ninth-most points in fantasy football.

Now the Denver Broncos' 2010 first-rounder will look to repeat his performance in Week 8 and make Broncos fans construct statues in his honor.

But unfortunately for Tebow and Tebow fans, the young quarterback will fail to put up big numbers in Week 8, along with two other Week 7 stars.

3. Kevin Kolb, QB, Arizona Cardinals

After three straight ugly games, Kevin Kolb came out of the Cardinals' bye week and put up over 19 fantasy points against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

But Kolb has been very inconsistent this season, as well as inaccurate at times. He faces the Baltimore Ravens in Week 8 and the Ravens will probably be fuming after losing to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 7.

I expect the Ravens' defense to bring everything it has in Week 8 and completely blow up the Cardinals' offensive game plan.

2. Tim Tebow, QB, Denver Broncos

Tim Tebow may have scored over 22 fantasy points in Week 7, but let's remember he was facing one of the worst pass defenses in the league in the Miami Dolphins.

Against the Detroit Lions in Week 8 Tebow won't be so lucky.

There's no question Tebow needs more time to develop, as he is still far too inconsistent with his accuracy. The Broncos knew this all along. He's going to have his fair share of pitfalls along the way and Week 8 will be one of them.

1. Michael Jenkins, WR, Minnesota Vikings

Veteran Michael Jenkins may have scored over 17 fantasy points in Week 7 and he may have three of the Vikings' six touchdown catches, but he's still dealing with a rookie quarterback in Christian Ponder.

Jenkins has averaged just 47.4 yards per game this season and a lot of that has to do with the inconsistency at the quarterback position, whether it be Ponder or Donovan McNabb.

He had 505 yards receiving and two touchdowns despite being on the Atlanta Falcons last season so he's not all of a sudden going to be a consistent producer on the Vikings.
