NFL Power Rankings Week 8: Saints and Elite Teams That Will Continue to Dominate

Michael MillOct 25, 2011

The picture painted is becoming more and more clear each week that passes in the NFL season.

The pretenders are starting to be weeded out, and the elite teams are stepping up with win after win.

Here are three elite teams that will continue to dominate in Week 8.

New England Patriots

This New England Patriots team should be the clear favorite in the AFC.

Tom Brady and the offense looks completely unstoppable. Even when it doesn't appear like they are deserving of the win, they find a way to do it.

The proved against Dallas that they can win ugly.

This week they may have to win ugly again when they face the Pittsburgh Steelers.

No matter how they do it, they will find a way to get it done.

San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers may just be the best coached team in the NFL.

It's weird that you can say that about a rookie coach that has been in the league for six games.

After six games, San Francisco is sitting at 5-1 and obvious contenders.

The Cleveland Browns aren't a bad football team, but there is no way that their offense will have a shot against this San Francisco defense.

If the 49ers keep playing like they started, they will be a top-five team in the league.

New Orleans Saints

After the upset loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, there were many who questioned the Saints.

I think they wanted to let the world know how they felt with the 62-7 beating on the Colts during Monday Night Football.

This is a very talented team that can strike at any given time.

They beat on a winless team last week. They will do the same this week when they face the St. Louis Rams.
