Ravens vs. Jaguars: Maurice Jones-Drew Will Lead Jags to Major Upset
Tonight, there will be a major upset on primetime television and no it won’t be Chaz Bono scoring a 30 on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars. Instead it will be on Monday Night Football as it will be in the form of the Jacksonville Jaguars beating the AFC North Division first place Baltimore Ravens.
But, in order for the Jags to pull off this epic upset, they will need a career game from their running back, Maurice Jones Drew.
Heading into tonight’s game, the Ravens are an 11-point favorite to win this game. As that’s no surprise, since the Ravens are 4-1 on the season, have one of the best running backs in the NFL in Ray Rice and have one of the best defenses in the league.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
However, on the road is where this Ravens team suffered their only loss of the season. In that game, they were manhandled by the Tennessee Titans.
In that game, they allowed 358 yards passing to Matt Hasselbeck and another 74 on the ground to a combination of Titans running backs Chris Johnson and Javon Ringer.
Both of those running backs rank in the bottom of the NFL in rushing this year, where as Maurice Jones Drew enters tonight’s game as the third best running back in the AFC. He trails only, Oakland’s Darren McFadden and Buffalo’s Fred Jackson, for the rushing lead.
But, a big game tonight by the Jacksonville running back will propel him towards the top of the conference in rushing yards and rushes for over 20 or more yards.
Heading into tonight’s game, Baltimore has not faced a running back as healthy as Jones Drew.
When the Ravens played teams like the Rams, Texans or Titans, all of those running backs were either coming off of injuries or still getting their legs back, after a long hold out during the offseason.
This week against a Jacksonville team that is playing to keep their coach's job, they will look to give the ball to their best player on offense, Maurice Jones Drew.
Doing so will enable Jacksonville to have ball control, while letting Mo Jo Drew pile up the stats, leading to over 125 yards and three touchdowns, and a shocking upset of this Baltimore Ravens team.
