Ravens vs. Jaguars: Baltimore Is a Lock to Win and Cover the Spread on MNF

Alex KayOct 24, 2011

The Baltimore Ravens are going to crush the Jacksonville Jaguars for the nation to see on "Monday Night Football."

Those who have enough faith in the Ravens to bet their hard-earned cash on them will be rewarded as the spread has Baltimore laying 10 points on the road right now.

I would honestly take Baltimore at -14, and a quick glance at the trend sheet proves that this is a great play.

Ravens 4-1 vs. Jaguars 2-4 ATS

The Ravens are a much better team against the spread, while the Jaguars finally had a miracle cover last week against the Steelers to snap a four game slide.

Baltimore hasn’t just been covering spreads either, they’ve been destroying them.

They were -1 against Pittsburgh and won 35-17, -5 at St. Louis and won 37-7, -5 vs. the Jets and won 34-17 and -6.5 against Houston and won 29-14.

The only spread they failed to cover was in a complete trap game against Tennessee, in which they were favored by 5.5 but lost by 13.

The points for/points against differential is another huge reason why I love Baltimore here.

They are only giving up 14.2 per game while scoring 29.6. The Jaguars are scoring 12 per game and giving up 22.

Those are incredibly contrasting numbers and the trend sheet is incredibly skewed in favor of the Ravens in almost every relevant category.

I fully expect the Ravens to take care of business in this primetime game just like they did when they exposed the Jets on Monday Night Football back in Week 4.

My prediction for the final score is Baltimore 37 and the Jaguars 10, which gives them an easy cover and also goes over the current line of 38.5, if you are interested in betting that as well.

Good luck with your bets tonight.
