Jahvid Best Injury: Updates on Lions RB's Week 8 Status and Fantasy Value
Detroit Lions running back Jahvid Best missed the team's Week 7 loss to the Atlanta Falcons after dealing with concussion-like symptoms.
The offense wasn't nearly as effective without him, and that makes his return before a Week 8 clash with Tim Tebow's Denver Broncos vitally important.
Keep checking back to this page throughout the week for updates on his availability and fantasy value.

Update: Sunday, Oct. 30 at 3 p.m. EDT by Matt Faulconer
As expected, Jahvid Best won't be suiting up for the Detroit Lions today. According to Michael Fabiano of NFL Network, he is inactive for today's game.
This is no surprise, but the team is hoping to have him back after the bye week.
Update: Friday, Oct. 28 at 2:15 p.m EDT- Andrew Kulha
Best has been in question all week for this game, and considering that there was talk of him shutting it down this season I highly doubt we will see him on Sunday. In fact, ProFootballTalk tweeted that Best is expected to miss the game against the Broncos.

The Detroit Lions are expected to hold Jahvid Best out of action through their Week 9 bye, according to Detroit Press' Dave Birkett.
""The headaches have mostly subsided, and Jahvid Best is feeling “pretty normal,” but the Detroit Lions running back is likely to miss his second straight game Sunday with a concussion, a person close to Best said today."

ProFootballTalk's Evan Silva is reporting that Adam Schefter is saying the Lions do not believe Best will be available.
Fantasy owners should look at Maurice Morris and Keiland Williams once again this week and perhaps as replacements for an extended period of time given Best's history with concussions.

CBS Sports mentioned Best's concussion history in its most recent update on the young back, and it's obviously a pretty big concern. His agent said shutting him down for the rest of the season isn't an option right now, though.
"Best has had a history of concussions, even suffering one this preseason, and a report surfaced earlier in the week that he might consider sitting out the rest of the season. That's apparently not the case, though. At this point, Best's status for Week 8 at Denver is still up in the air. He would be a good start for that matchup, as he is just about every week, so keep him stashed in Fantasy.
"
This situation has a chance to go many different directions, so make sure to keep close tabs on his progress throughout the week. Detroit is unlikely to take any chances, even if it hurts the offense in the short term.
