NFL Power Rankings: Who Are Most Surprising Teams in Top 10?
Obviously with each passing week the power rankings are going to change accordingly. To that end, there will be those teams ranked higher than maybe they should be.
However, there are also the teams who have proven their worth along with those who have surprised. So with that in mind, here are three teams surprisingly in the Top 10.
New York Giants (4-2)

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
After beating the Bills the Giants moved up into the No. 10 spot. However, thanks to the Lions, Raiders, and Chargers all losing this week, New York moves up to No. 7.
Oddly enough though, the Giants have losses to Seattle and Washington. But with so many teams constantly losing games they should win, or winning games they should lose, it's hard to drop the Giants further.
Plus, thanks to the bye week they weren't damaged at all.
That being said, we will find out exactly if New York is worthy of a Top 10 ranking the last half of the season, because their schedule is very difficult (at Pats, at 49ers, at Saints, vs Packers, among others).
Houston Texans (4-3)
Unlike the Giants, the Texans are more deserving of their Top 10 ranking, but it's still just as surprising being that Houston has three losses.
They played well in Baltimore but it just wasn't enough. However, that effort carried over into Tennessee and Houston routed the Titans 41-7.
They are the only team in the Top 10 with three losses, but winning a divisional game on the road without WR Andre Johnson and LB Mario Williams was very impressive.
Whenever Johnson returns, Houston is only going to be that much better.
Detroit Lions (5-2)
The 5-0 start was great, but since then Detroit has fallen from grace with two straight home losses. You could argue that they should be out of the Top 10, but are we really going to rank the Bears, Jets, or Chargers in front of them?
Outside of the Top 5 the NFL is very even across the board from No. 6 through No. 20, so how the Lions respond is more important. Obviously if they continue to lose then they will drop, but there's still a solid chance The Motor City finishes around 10-6 or 11-5.
Don't count out the Lions just yet with these two losses, but don't be surprised if they don't bounce back either.
