Tiger Woods: Rory McIlroy's Domination of Tiger Is Almost Complete

Richard LangfordOct 24, 2011

Rory McIlroy is taking over the throne as the face of golf. He is now sitting in that throne, while Tiger tries to hold on with residual greatness.

The latest sign comes in the form of the EA Sports videogame bearing Tiger's name.

Woods is now not only being overtaken by the young gun golfers in talent and PGA success, but also on the cover his videogame.

Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler will join the image stained Tiger on the cover of the latest addition of the EA Sports videogame that bares his name.

Being on the cover at all is a step in the right direction for Woods, but it still doesn't hide the fact he is becoming a part of golf's past.

Woods was not on the cover of last year's addition as EA decided to simply use a picture of The Masters course in Augusta instead.

Woods is slowly building back his image by keeping his name scandal free. This has turned him back into a viable pitchman, but his lack of success on the course means his name does not carry the same weight in the golf world.

Instead it is Rory McIlroy that excites fans with the promise of greatness. McIlroy has gone a long way towards filling the massive void left behind by Tiger, and this cover is just the latest sign.
