NFL Power Rankings: Which Teams Are Most Mediocre in the League?
Being stuck in mediocrity can be just as confidence-sucking as being at the bottom of the food chain. And after a while it actually gets worse, because not only is a team not improving, but they're not having the luxury of a top draft pick to significantly turn things around.
That said, when swamped in the midst of mediocrity, chances are things get much worse before any real opportunistic possibilities emerge for the better. Therefore, here are three frustratingly mediocre teams in the NFL.
Tennessee Titans (3-3)

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
We are going to dub the Titans the identity crisis of the mediocre club. They lost in Week 1 to Jacksonville, but somehow managed to beat Baltimore. And yet they were obliterated in their last two games.
RB Chris Johnson has no idea how to improve...why? Because he missed all of training camp. QB Matt Hasselbeck hasn't really recovered since WR Kenny Britt went down. Then on Sunday, the defense just collapsed all together against an Andre Johnson-less Texans team.
And if there's one team the Colts may have a shot at beating, it's the Titans, because Tennessee has no idea what's going to happen with its execution on both sides each new week.
Washington Redskins (3-3)
The old manipulation trick almost worked out for the Washington Redskins until people started believing they could win on a consistent basis. The 2-0 start was fun while it lasted only because no one saw it coming.
For as solid as the Redskins defense is, it's not good enough to win them games as their offense is so very...how do you say..."blah."
They have no stud WRs, RBs or TEs, and their QB controversy was between Rex Grossman and John Beck. Hence, recipe for disaster. Washington is going nowhere fast.
Cleveland Browns (3-3)
The underachievers of "Club Mediocrity" are the Cleveland Browns. For as much hope and talent there was in the preseason, Cleveland surely looked like a team better than 3-3 at this point.
However, the Peyton Hillis drama began thanks to the Madden curse widening by making its way into illness (Hillis' "sickness"). And then we have three wins against teams combined for a 2-17 record.
Honestly, the victory over Seattle was somewhat fun to watch because the Browns are money at winning games where the score is 6-3. In other words, that game should not have been that close.
